Training in Taiwan

The Foundation cooperated with the China Productivity Centre in Taiwan (CPC), the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITIR) and the Tjing Ling Industrial Research Institute (TLIRI) at National Taiwan University (NTU) and provided training for senior managers from Taiwan. By the end of 2004, CPC had organized 10 short training courses for the Foundation: a total of 905 trainees attended these courses. TLIRI conducted 14 courses attended by a total of 924 trainees. In collaboration with the Foundation, ITIR first held a short training course in 2002 and a total of 302 participants attended. From 1998 to 2004, the Foundation had trained 2,131 executives from Taiwan.

The short executive training courses conducted by the CPC mainly focused on top-level management issues and leadership for senior executives. Renowned entrepreneurs and experts were invited as speakers and to deliver advanced management knowledge, technology advancements, and new manufacturing concepts in order to promote the productivity of manufacturing industries in Taiwan. The training courses were highly praised by the participants and each course came to a fruitful conclusion thanks to the effort and persistence of the CPC.

The short training courses conducted by TLIRI and ITIR focused more on directly applicable manufacturing technology and emphasized more on integration between theories and practices. TLIRI invited both scholars and industrial experts to deliver the lectures. The TLIRI training courses targeted junior and middle level management and technical personnel in the manufacturing industry and were designed to provide benefits to trainees in manufacturing technology within a short period of time.

The ITIR training courses mainly targeted top and middle level technical personnel in the manufacturing industry. The participants provided very positive feedback on the training courses for the well chosen topics and high quality tuition.
